[Reverie - Prelude]

A fun little experience. I got all four of the crystals to light up, but I was kinda sad when the music box and xylophone didn't make any noise. Not sure if this is a bug or if it's not finished, but I would love it if they made music or sounds. Here's an idea maybe they could make different sounds/music depending upon the color of the environment? Overall I really liked it. Took off a star because the music box and xylophone didn't make noise, and because you can't do anything with the character there. Also I think I've seen that exact scarf design somewhere else...

The instructions shouldn't be written in cryptic messages, and I can't really tell what anything on the screen is because of the graphics. Overall really should've worked a bit more on it before uploading. And as a side note anyone who couldn't complete one level isn't "dumb" they couldn't complete it because your game has vague instructions, you can't see anything in the first level, and there is no reason to try to complete the level because the game sucks! So uhh yeah fix your goddamn game before it gets taken down for having a low rating, because the concept isn't bad, but the execution was terrible.

Believe me, I really shouldn't have worked more on it. I worked way too much. It still sucks. Ah well, just another sucky game on Newgrounds. Maybe I'll try to execute it again. Once.

I enjoyed my time playing. Had a few issues while playing though. First when you duck under something and let go of the down key it would just sorta teleport me out of there, didn't have much of an problem with it, but it had the possibility of kicking you off ledges in some areas. This one is a bit of a game breaker, but it wouldn't let me load any of the levels or continue, it would just boot me back to the title screen. I really liked the boss of level 5 (even though I died) , Couldn't get to the end of the game though because I didn't feel like going through the whole game again just to die and go through a third time just because of a broken load option. Overall good job, next time add a bit of a story instead of us just running around collecting demon teeth for no reason.

yes, working on the crouch bug.
found the reason for the loading bug and already updated the game with fixes for that issue.
I have some story hints in the world but i still understand how you felt underwhelmed by the story, will keep that in mind.

I had a lot of fun playing ,but there definitely is room for improvement. Like adding powerups and more enemies.

Thanks man, really glad you had fun. We did that in 48 hours for a game jam so we didn't have time to add everything we wanted, but hopefully we improve on this game in the future

I donno. This concept has been done many times before and overall the game is incomplete and feels like you're playing an unfinished game.
